June Brides & July Weddings
June brides were ecstatic!
The
roses were so full, so heavy with fragrance and opulent colours
that every bunch fell into the shape of a creamy bridal bouquet.
The best of these were Constance Spry, which flowers only once,
Louise Odier, Abraham Darby, Savoy Hotel and Ice Gold, all of
which repeat flower.
We sent pink and white roses to another royal wedding, Lady Helen Windsor's covered spectacularly in Hello. The little bridesmaids carried English Miss and wore St Swithuns and Mary Rose in their hair.
Wedding after wedding braved the wet weather and roses poured out of our fields and barns defiantly!
At the end of July we were preparing for a hectic weekend in which Danae and Trisha had to be designing with roses for two huge events: the first was the Innocent Fair at Regent's Park which took place over three days from Friday to Sunday night - and the second meant Danae and Robin were on a train to Northumbria on Friday night for the wedding of Talitha and Jonathan Elkington at Chipchase Castle, and back to Regent's Park to strike the set on Sunday evening (in the pouring rain).
